Tour Description:

This Rock Tour is an ideal day for both Floyd fanatics and for those long-suffering partners who’d simply enjoy seeing a
different side of London and have a taste of traditional England.

Pink Floyd’s roots are in the mediaeval university city of Cambridge, one or the UK’s prettiest andPink Floyd Flying Pig most historic cities.
Seeing Cambridge, and its timeless pastoral environs, in the company of an expert Floyd guide is to begin to understand Pink Floyd. Allusions to the city abound in song titles and lyrics such as ‘Granchester Meadows’, ‘Bike’, ‘High Hopes’ and in ‘The Wall’. You’ll see the family homes of Barratt, Gilmour and Waters, their schools and city centre locations such as pubs, cafes, gig sites and music stores that influenced their respective careers. In addition, you’ll have some free time to see city landmarks such as the punting on ‘backs’, Kings College and Silver Street Bridge.

Leaving Cambridge, we return to London where we discover the famed ‘Ally Pally’, hill-top venue of the legendary ’14-Hour Technicolour Dream’ and from where you get the best views of London. You’ll also see the only house that the young, original Pink Floyd all lived together as students; early rehearsal rooms; their own Britannia Road Studios; and Abbey Road studios where they made their greatest albums. A number of other central London locations are included, depending on traffic conditions, such as a UFO club and band members homes. Of course, no Floyd tour would be complete without seeing the Battersea Power Station, location of perhaps that most iconic and memorable of Floyd album covers.

You’ll never listen to your Pink Floyd albums in the same way after taking this tour!
